Goodbye 2014.Hello 2015.

MY PLANS AND PROGRAMS FOR THIS YEAR 2015 

New Year. New Moments. New Life. 

Another year has come and another things that should be polished and be done. For the previous year, 2014, I made a memorable moment that happened to my life when the end of the year drew near to its end. 

As 2015 started on its way, I also need to begin a brand new stuff that will help me face this new adventure that I will take. I planned and thought of some step that will guide me to achive my goal for this state-of -the -art epoch. 

 

 I also deliberate things that can be executed for my Christian Life, Family, Education, and  for MYSELF. 

I also made a WISH LIST where in all the gears and equipments were listed. 

I hope and pray that fo this year 2015, all my plans and programs will be attained. 

May the LORD bless us always. 

Praise the LORD for his goodness, love, grace and mercy.

Evaluating a Module

Give the evaluation on the module according to:

a. Organization( How does the author organize the topic?)

        The module which was done by the National Open University of Nigeria for the School of Arts and Social Sciences that focuses on the Literary Stylistics has a well- organized topics. Based from this, it started from a title page, down to the introductory page, going to the table of contents and end its part until the body. References are given after a specific unit or chapter being presented in  the module, which is considered as one of the style of author. 

Introductory page started through giving descriptions to the following parts:

•  Course Aims

•  Course Objectives

•  Working through this Course

•  Course Materials

•  Study Units

•  Course Marking

•  Course Overview

•  Facilitators/ Tutors/ Tutorials

•  Summary

        Base from the module, the chapters were named as " Module" and the sub-topics were listed as the "units". 
       In every topics being presented, it follows the same format that includes :

1. Introduction 
2. Objective
3. Main Content   
4. Conclusion  
5. Summary  
6. Tutor-Marked Assignment  
7. References/Further Reading 

        To sum it up, the reader of this module can easily determine the main content and objectives of the different chapters.

b. Relevance( Who will benefit the output? What will be its significance in instruction?)
         
        Administration.This will serve to them as a tool for the teacher and students to improve the totality of the learning of their institution.

       Teachers/Instructors. This will be used as their basis in teaching Literary Stylistics to the students and for them to have inputs for the next generation.

       Students.This will be consider as their guiding light in studying Literary Stylistics and other English related topics such as the figure of speech. This will also their source in studying such subject.

c. Style( What is the author's style in presenting the module?)


            The style of the author is good since it gave detail to every topics of the modules. But then, exercises and activities were not given more where in fact modules are used to assess students learning through answering activities and seat works. Furthermore, it gave a lengthy descriptions on the specific terms and not an an examples and applications on how to do with it. Indeed, presenting a module to students will not only focus on descriptions but also on applications. 


         
d. Articulation ( Does the module present the totality of the topics for the course?)

         Yes, the module present the totality of the topics of the course only that, exercises and activities were not given more to assess the learning of every students. In addition, the author only gave some questions that doesn't involve a Higher Order Thinking Skilled Questions.


e. Citation ( What is the citation style of the author? Does it show complete reference citation of the author mentioned?)

         The citation were being presented after the specific topic is being explained, discussed, elaborated and presented to the readers. In prior to this, it is placed after the tutor-marked assignments. Compared to other modules, it has a unique style of presenting its references. Yes, it shows complete reference of the author mentioned on the module.

MARIA MAKILING

MARIANG MAKILING

Mariang Makiling was a beautiful woman wherein she is also tall and graceful.Nobody knows where she came in and how she lived.They said that this beatiful maiden lived in a palace and others in a poor nipa hut.

Mariang Makiling physical features was described as a perfect woman.She was the ruler of the mountain wherein she help the humans in time of needs. 

Many hunters  saw Maria on the night of Good Friday. She was just a spirit appeared at the cliff and slowly disappear among the shadows of the trees.But then, the hunters let her on her place and not minding what she was doing and where he will go.

She really love to appear after the storm and restore everything that was ruined by this phenomena.

Mariang Makiling has a very generous heart especialy to the poor people.

Sometimes she appeared as a simple girl helping others. 

Once there was time that a hunter, chase animal for food but then Maria saw what the man was doing. Instead of punishing the man, she  helped him despite of his tiredness. She let him ate foods and became full. And when the time that he went back home, Maaria gaec him a ginger not knowingly it will turned to gold. 

Because of the king-hearted attitude of Maria, many people also abused her causing her to get mad. And because of this, she was disapeared and no one ever saw her at that time. And the people started to suffer for their life in consequence.

IBONG ADARNA

Summary of the Stories:

IBONG ADARNA Part 1

The story of Ibong Adarna started at the kingdom of Berbania in which it was headed by a king named, King Fernando.He was married to a beautiful and kind-hearted woman named Queen Valeriana. He has three sons namely;Don Pedro, Don Diego and Don Juan.

One day, the king had a sickness due to a terrible nightmare and only the song of the Adarna Bird could cure him.This bird lived in the mountain of Tabor and nested at the tree of Piedras Platas. After knowing this, the king commanded his first son, Don Pedro to look for the said bird but then he failed to accomplish the task. At the second time around,Don Diego, the second son, do the honor of searching the cure for the illness of his father. But then, just like Don Pedro, he also failed it.Despite of  hesitation of the king ,since he loved his youngest son very much, Don Juan,who also loved his father so much, do the last chance in finding the bird for the sake of the life of his love one.

Don Juan started the journey with only a 5 loaves of bread and with his unfailing faith to the Almighty instead of bringing weapons for the fight.

When he reached  the top of the mountain, he found an old man craving for a food.  Because of the tender heart of Don Juan,he gave his last food to this old man. As an exchange, the old man gave directions to where the hermit's house was located and that could help him capture the bird.

At this moment, he found the house of the Hermit. And when he was recognized by him, he gave Don Juan everything to capture the bird. He also instructed that if the Adarna bird will emit music  he should cut his palm with a knife and drop some lime on the wound so that the pain wouldn't let him fell asleep and he wouldn't turn into a stone just like his brothers who received the droppings of the bird while they were sleeping.

Don Juan captured the Adarna Bird and tied it with a golden string and brought it to the Hermit.After that, he helped his brother's back to their original forms. However, because of the of the wicked mind of Don Pedro he made an evil plan against Don Juan.The two elder  brothers, beat their youngest brother and left him at the forest. They took the Adarna Bird and returned to the palace.

In contrast to what had been expected, the Adarna Bird change to an ugly form and didn't sing for the cure of the sickness of the king.In addition, the kings's illness became worse.

In the meantime, Don Juan survived the evil plan of his brothers. He then returned to the palace and when the Adarna had saw him, it magically turned into its beautiful form and sang a melodious song and the king was revitalized. In prior to this, he became well. And  then the Adarna bird suddenly spoke about what had happened during the searching process. The king got angered and he ordered Don Pedro and Diego to put to the dungeon ,as the consequence to what they did to their brother.But then, Don Juan forgave his brother and requested the king to spare them and it was granted.

   IBONG ADARNA Part 2

During this portion, Don Juan's request to spare his brother was granted. Because of this, he ordered to  have an eye in watching the bird every single night. But then, Don Pedro, once again, had a wicked plan to his brother. Instead of telling that Don Juan would watch the bird for 4 hours, he then said to him 6 hours.Because of this, Don Juan got tired from watching.As a  result, he felt asleep. And then his two brothers let the bird fled .

When Don Juan awoke, he noticed that the bird was gone and he had no other choice but to flee from the palace.And when the king got angered, he ordered Don Pedro and Diego to searched for their brother so he may be punished.

The two brothers found Don Juan. But when they traveled back to Berbanya, they found a mysterious well at the top of the mountain. It has no water,has a clean borders and a rope atop of it.And they decided to climb down the well.And the one chosen to go down was Don Juan.

When he was at the bottom of the well, he found out that there was a palace into it and he met a beautiful sisters, Doña Juana who was held captured by a giant and Doña Leonora who was imprisoned by a serpent.

Don Juan defeated the giant as well as the serpent. But then durind the escaped, Doña Leonora forgot to bring her magical ring. Don Juan volunteered to go back and retrieve it. In order not to escaped from the well,Don Pedro cut the rope of the well.And they leaved him together with the two princess.

When they reached the palaced, lies had again told to the king.The two brothers will be married to the two princess.Don Diego got married to Doña Juana, and kingdom rejoiced for six days

In the meantime, Doña Leonara asked her servant to secretly searched for Don Juan. The servant found him weak and lifeless.He felt asleep and when he was awoke he heard the Adarna Bird singing. The bird narrated Don Juan about his bother's treachery and advised that he will not anymore return to the palace. Instead, he went to Reyno De Los Cristales,and found a mor beautiful princess-Doña Maria.

She helped Don Juan in winning her hand by using her magic so the trials of his father, KingSalermo.But then the king plan that Don Juan shoul go to England and to be killed there.But then, Dona Maria heared his father's plan.

And again the king made some tests to Don Juan, but because of the great love of Doña Maria she then again used her magic. And the king king cursed thema nd he died.

They went to Berbanya, and kings Salermo's death wished worked. Don Juan was set to be married to Doña Leoanora.

On the day of the wedding, Doña Maria stopped it and do the short magical puppet play. She showed all the adventured that she and Don Juan endured together. But don Juan didn't remember anything. But when Doña Maria shattered her magical flask, Don Juan recalled everything.

Doña MAria got anger and she caused flood to the entire kingdom.To stop the disaster, Don Juanwas married to Maria and Leonao to Pedro.

Doña Maria whose great magic revealed and she was none other than the magical bird,Adarna.She returned to her good and the fallen kindom where she belongs flourished again.And they ruled the kingdom well.THE END.

FUTURE TENSE

          Three years from now, I am going to end up my pre-graduate school life. I will be teaching to a public school and will practice what I have learned in my institution. I will be exposing to the real world of TEACHING.My parents will be stopping from their work, instead, I will so my part as their son and repay for their kindness and goodness to me. I will have been a good role model to my students in order for them to respect and follow my rules and regulations inside and outside the class.
