Mariang Makiling was a beautiful woman wherein she is also tall and graceful.Nobody knows where she came in and how she lived.They said that this beatiful maiden lived in a palace and others in a poor nipa hut.

Mariang Makiling physical features was described as a perfect woman.She was the ruler of the mountain wherein she help the humans in time of needs. 

Many hunters  saw Maria on the night of Good Friday. She was just a spirit appeared at the cliff and slowly disappear among the shadows of the trees.But then, the hunters let her on her place and not minding what she was doing and where he will go.

She really love to appear after the storm and restore everything that was ruined by this phenomena.

Mariang Makiling has a very generous heart especialy to the poor people.

Sometimes she appeared as a simple girl helping others. 

Once there was time that a hunter, chase animal for food but then Maria saw what the man was doing. Instead of punishing the man, she  helped him despite of his tiredness. She let him ate foods and became full. And when the time that he went back home, Maaria gaec him a ginger not knowingly it will turned to gold. 

Because of the king-hearted attitude of Maria, many people also abused her causing her to get mad. And because of this, she was disapeared and no one ever saw her at that time. And the people started to suffer for their life in consequence.

Summary of the Stories:

IBONG ADARNA Part 1

The story of Ibong Adarna started at the kingdom of Berbania in which it was headed by a king named, King Fernando.He was married to a beautiful and kind-hearted woman named Queen Valeriana. He has three sons namely;Don Pedro, Don Diego and Don Juan.

One day, the king had a sickness due to a terrible nightmare and only the song of the Adarna Bird could cure him.This bird lived in the mountain of Tabor and nested at the tree of Piedras Platas. After knowing this, the king commanded his first son, Don Pedro to look for the said bird but then he failed to accomplish the task. At the second time around,Don Diego, the second son, do the honor of searching the cure for the illness of his father. But then, just like Don Pedro, he also failed it.Despite of  hesitation of the king ,since he loved his youngest son very much, Don Juan,who also loved his father so much, do the last chance in finding the bird for the sake of the life of his love one.

Don Juan started the journey with only a 5 loaves of bread and with his unfailing faith to the Almighty instead of bringing weapons for the fight.

When he reached  the top of the mountain, he found an old man craving for a food.  Because of the tender heart of Don Juan,he gave his last food to this old man. As an exchange, the old man gave directions to where the hermit's house was located and that could help him capture the bird.

At this moment, he found the house of the Hermit. And when he was recognized by him, he gave Don Juan everything to capture the bird. He also instructed that if the Adarna bird will emit music  he should cut his palm with a knife and drop some lime on the wound so that the pain wouldn't let him fell asleep and he wouldn't turn into a stone just like his brothers who received the droppings of the bird while they were sleeping.

Don Juan captured the Adarna Bird and tied it with a golden string and brought it to the Hermit.After that, he helped his brother's back to their original forms. However, because of the of the wicked mind of Don Pedro he made an evil plan against Don Juan.The two elder  brothers, beat their youngest brother and left him at the forest. They took the Adarna Bird and returned to the palace.

In contrast to what had been expected, the Adarna Bird change to an ugly form and didn't sing for the cure of the sickness of the king.In addition, the kings's illness became worse.

In the meantime, Don Juan survived the evil plan of his brothers. He then returned to the palace and when the Adarna had saw him, it magically turned into its beautiful form and sang a melodious song and the king was revitalized. In prior to this, he became well. And  then the Adarna bird suddenly spoke about what had happened during the searching process. The king got angered and he ordered Don Pedro and Diego to put to the dungeon ,as the consequence to what they did to their brother.But then, Don Juan forgave his brother and requested the king to spare them and it was granted.

   IBONG ADARNA Part 2

During this portion, Don Juan's request to spare his brother was granted. Because of this, he ordered to  have an eye in watching the bird every single night. But then, Don Pedro, once again, had a wicked plan to his brother. Instead of telling that Don Juan would watch the bird for 4 hours, he then said to him 6 hours.Because of this, Don Juan got tired from watching.As a  result, he felt asleep. And then his two brothers let the bird fled .

When Don Juan awoke, he noticed that the bird was gone and he had no other choice but to flee from the palace.And when the king got angered, he ordered Don Pedro and Diego to searched for their brother so he may be punished.

The two brothers found Don Juan. But when they traveled back to Berbanya, they found a mysterious well at the top of the mountain. It has no water,has a clean borders and a rope atop of it.And they decided to climb down the well.And the one chosen to go down was Don Juan.

When he was at the bottom of the well, he found out that there was a palace into it and he met a beautiful sisters, Doña Juana who was held captured by a giant and Doña Leonora who was imprisoned by a serpent.

Don Juan defeated the giant as well as the serpent. But then durind the escaped, Doña Leonora forgot to bring her magical ring. Don Juan volunteered to go back and retrieve it. In order not to escaped from the well,Don Pedro cut the rope of the well.And they leaved him together with the two princess.

When they reached the palaced, lies had again told to the king.The two brothers will be married to the two princess.Don Diego got married to Doña Juana, and kingdom rejoiced for six days

In the meantime, Doña Leonara asked her servant to secretly searched for Don Juan. The servant found him weak and lifeless.He felt asleep and when he was awoke he heard the Adarna Bird singing. The bird narrated Don Juan about his bother's treachery and advised that he will not anymore return to the palace. Instead, he went to Reyno De Los Cristales,and found a mor beautiful princess-Doña Maria.

She helped Don Juan in winning her hand by using her magic so the trials of his father, KingSalermo.But then the king plan that Don Juan shoul go to England and to be killed there.But then, Dona Maria heared his father's plan.

And again the king made some tests to Don Juan, but because of the great love of Doña Maria she then again used her magic. And the king king cursed thema nd he died.

They went to Berbanya, and kings Salermo's death wished worked. Don Juan was set to be married to Doña Leoanora.

On the day of the wedding, Doña Maria stopped it and do the short magical puppet play. She showed all the adventured that she and Don Juan endured together. But don Juan didn't remember anything. But when Doña Maria shattered her magical flask, Don Juan recalled everything.

Doña MAria got anger and she caused flood to the entire kingdom.To stop the disaster, Don Juanwas married to Maria and Leonao to Pedro.

Doña Maria whose great magic revealed and she was none other than the magical bird,Adarna.She returned to her good and the fallen kindom where she belongs flourished again.And they ruled the kingdom well.THE END.

FUTURE TENSE

          Three years from now, I am going to end up my pre-graduate school life. I will be teaching to a public school and will practice what I have learned in my institution. I will be exposing to the real world of TEACHING.My parents will be stopping from their work, instead, I will so my part as their son and repay for their kindness and goodness to me. I will have been a good role model to my students in order for them to respect and follow my rules and regulations inside and outside the class.

PAST TENSE

          Peter took his audition last week.He performed waltz, rumba and cha-cha.He was a talented boy.A month ago, his father saw him that he was also singing while dancing. He had noticed that his son was very excellent in this field. Because of this, he had been supporting him along the way in order for him to boost his son's confidence and to show up to the people his talent given by the Almighty God.

PRESENT TENSE

          Donna lies on on her bed today. She is suffering from severe colds and cough. She tends to sneeze two to five times a minute and barks oftentimes. She has also fever. According to her mother, this disease has been one of the contagious disease that is caused by virus. It has been transmitted to man through direct and indirect contact. Since the existence of man , she added, colds and cough has been also a disease caused by changes in climate and temperature.As of this moment, she has already took her medicine in order for her to get well easily.

 Year of the rooster was savoring its moment. At this time, a baby boy was born by a loving and caring mother named Lilian Ledres Malngan and also given with a gentle caress of his father, Pausto Maconden Malngan, Sr. He was nurtured with faith, hope and respect and named after his father.

As he grew up, he was filled with gladness on his heart and cheerfulness on his face. He loved to mingle with friends and even his own family. He was so delighted on the world he was in. Furthermore, he gave importance on every breath of his life.

During his preschool days, he was enrolled at Visayan Village Kindergarten School. As one of his fears at that period, he won’t be able to go to school without the presence of his mother even on the days of rains and sun. In addition, he cried a lot when his mother escaped and made some other business for their family. But then, his mother was so much supportive of him. She let him joined some school competitions such as King and Queen of Hearts and won as the King of Hearts at that time. On the day of their graduation ceremony, he was proclaimed as the third honors on their class.

As his elementary years were going to, he signed up at Visayan Village Central Elementary School. He was 6 years old at that time. His father brought him on the first day of his class and later on he was the one who went to school on his own. He was so energetic to go to school and learn something new for the betterment of himself. He explored his life and enjoyed it to the fullest.

 At this point also, many tragic events had happened. His mother suffered from appendicitis and his father went through  an accident in his work. It’s such a delirious days he had. In spite of all the happenings, faith, hope and glory were manifested upon him.

On every step that he made, he received with flying colors even if it’s not the most but at least the better. He valued education a lot. His teacher  edified him on their class. He leads the group in reading and writing activities. He also checks the quizzes and exams of his classmates and recorded it also. He became one of the Science Quizzer on their batch during his fourth year in this degree and also awarded as the Dancer of the Year and Red Cross Volunteer of the Year on his fifth grade. When the sun was going to set at this juncture, he was asserted as the Third Honorable Mention and the Best in Science, History and Filipino.

Being one of the Sulong-Dunong Scholar of the City of Tagum, he continued his secondary course at Tagum City National High School and belongs to the first section of this institution, the DOST/SSC (Special Science Curriculum) Class. Throughout this point, ideas are being inculcated on his minds advancely. Along with this line, advance topics and subject matters were introduced to him. Despite of the misfortunes of time, his parents succor his academic and financial glitches. Until such time, he joined the Values National Convention held at Baguio City. Being one of the participants in the quiz bee event, he won as the third placer together with his group mates.

High School life is the best period for him. Out-of-towns, leaderships, trainings, seminars and many others.

As the day had passed and commencement was coming, all of the tears and laughters were reminisced. Hardships, pains and sorrow were recalled. And all others were reunited for this very special event of all.

But then it should be continued for the next step of his journey.

Days of concentrations and specializations was rushing to, he was registered to University of Southeastern Philippines and took up Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education major in Mathematics. Terror and calm teachers were next in line. Regardless of all of this, he continued what was being started. He became one of the Deans Lister in this institution.

Because of their financial instability, he transferred to other school and search for a job. He was employed to a private family and studied his second year in his course.  This time, he was not a Mathematics major anymore but then turned into English. New environment, people, teachers and staffs to meet.

This is me born on July 5, 1993, when rooster’s time was happening and still happening at the present times.

This is me, given to a simple family but extravagant in faith, hope, love and respect.

This is me, stands and still be standing despite of the changing fortunes of time.

This is me, optimistically face difficulties in life with the help of our Almighty God.

( My Movie Review)

     The Passion of the Christ (sometimes referred to as The Passion) is a 2004 American film directed by Mel Gibson and starring Jim Caviezel as Jesus Christ. It depicts thePassion of Jesus largely according to the New Testament Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Lukeand John. It also draws on other devotional writings, such as those disputedly attributed toAnne Catherine Emmerich.

     The film covers the final 12 hours of Jesus' life, beginning with the Agony in the Garden and ending with a brief depiction of his resurrection. Flashbacks of Jesus as a child and as a young man with his mother, giving the Sermon on the Mount, teaching the Twelve Apostles, and at the Last Supper are some of the images depicted. The dialogue is entirely in reconstructed Aramaic and Latin with vernacular subtitles.

    The film was a major commercial hit, grossing in excess of $600 million during its theatrical release, becoming the highest grossing R-rated film of all time. The film has also been highly controversial and received mixed reviews, with some critics claiming that the extreme violence in the movie "obscures its message."Catholic sources have questioned the authenticity of the non-biblical material the film drew on.

THE SUMMARY

     The film opens in Gethsemane as Jesus prays and is tempted by Satan, while his apostles, Peter, James and John sleep. After receiving thirty pieces of silver, one of Jesus' other apostles, Judas, approaches with the temple guards and betrays Jesus with a kiss on the cheek. As the guards move in to arrest Jesus, Peter cuts off the ear of Malchus, but Jesus heals the ear. The temple guards arrest Jesus and the apostles flee. John tells Mary and Mary Magdalene of the arrest. Peter follows Jesus at a distance. Caiaphas holds trial over the objection of some of the other priests, who are expelled from the court. When questioned by Caiaphas whether he is the son of God, Jesus replies "I am." Caiaphas is horrified and tears his robes and Jesus is condemned to death for blasphemy. Three times Peter denies knowing Jesus but then runs away sobbing. Meanwhile, the remorseful Judas attempts to return the money to have Jesus freed but is refused by the priests. Tormented by demons, he flees the city and hangs himself with a rope he finds on a dead donkey.

     Caiaphas brings Jesus before Pontius Pilate to be condemned to death, but after questioning Jesus, Pilate sends him instead to the court of Herod, as Jesus is from Herod's ruling town of Nazareth. After Jesus is returned, Pilate offers the crowd that he will chastise Jesus and then will set him free. Pilate attempts to have Jesus freed by giving the people an option of freeing Jesus or the violent criminalBarabbas. To his dismay, the crowd demands to have Barabbas freed and Jesus killed. Pilate washes his hands and proclaims he is not guilty of Jesus' punishment, but in an attempt to appease the crowd, has Jesus brutally scourged and mocked with a crown of thorns. The crowd continues to demand that Jesus be crucified, and Pilate reluctantly orders Jesus' crucifixion.

     As Jesus carries the cross along the Via Dolorosa to Calvary, Seraphia wipes Jesus' face with her veil. Simon of Cyrene is unwillingly pressed into carrying the cross with Jesus. Jesus is then crucified. As he hangs from the cross, Jesus prays forgiveness for those who did this to him and redeems a criminal crucified next to him. After Jesus gives up his spirit and dies, a single drop of rain falls from the sky, triggering an earthquake which destroys the Temple and rips the cloth covering the Holy of Holies in two, to the horror of Caiaphas and the other priests. Satan is then shown screaming in defeat. Jesus is taken down from the cross. In the end, Jesus rises from the dead and exits the tomb.

MY MOVIE REVIEW

     The Passion of the Christ is one of my favorite movie because it really depicts what we are as a MAN and how we should be as a CHRISTIAN.Based on the movie, it shows FAITH, BETRAYAL, DENIAL, SIN, and most of all LOVE.

     As I watched the movie, I really cherished every details and scenes that had passed and moved over. I felt pity and low especially on the part that Jesus of Nazarene suffered all the sins of man. I really felt the pain that we made to our God despite of the fact that we, the sinful beings, will suffer what He suffered before, during, and after He was crucified.

     When I continually observed the movie, I saw:

FAITH. Even Jesus is the Lord, He still prayed for guidance to show up to His people to always show up our faith             
           to Him even in sickness and in health, in richer or in poorer,or till death do we part.

BETRAYAL. When Judah exhange the life of our God from 30 silvers. But later on he then realized what he had
          done wrong to the innocent blood. He tried to return the money in exchange to the life of Jesus but
          unluckily the priest refused. He then afflicted by the evils and went to the city and and put into death by 
          hanging himself.

DENIAL. When Peter denied Jesus from the people. He said," I swear,I don't know the man.", 3 times. But on his   
          previous communication to Jesus he said that he will not leave Him even in prison and in death.

          As the moment went by, he faced his mother sobbingly and apprehended that he  is unworthy because he denied the Lord.

SIN. If we will looked on the deeply the movie, we can catched up the major role of Jesus is to save man from it   
          sinful being since he is really a sinner as he went outside in this world.

LOVE. According to the Holy Gospel, particularly at the Bppk of John it says," For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 

        Because of the great love of God to His children He then went to the world in the Person of Jesus to save us from our sins. 

         Isaiah 53 states,"He was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; by His wounds we are healed."

     Indeed we should show up our great love to Him by receiving Him as our God and Personal Savior in order for us not to go to the Lake of Fire, the HELL, instead to the place where true happiness and contentment is found,to His kingdom that is not located in this world, the HEAVEN. We should go back to the basics and meditate ourselves for our salvation and to inherit eternal life together with our Almighty God.

I can say that the movie in general is very amazing!
